    Default James river catfish 12-13-05

Local boy Capt. Neil Renouf but a client on a nice 81 pound blue cat yesterday. Somewhere on the James (of course he won't tell me). Neil is a well rounded fisherman. Guides for cats, crappie, stripers, flounder, togs, trout etc. A cool guy. Tried to talk some info out of him last night, but no go. Thought you guys might enjoy the pic. The blues will bite all winter, even with ice chuncks floating. You might just have to try it.

    May the winds die down.

I dont know how capt neil does it and have never persoanally talked to him. But he catches fish no matter where he goes. He has pictures of awesome catches of flounder ont he bay. Its not just a one time deal either. He catches them everytime!. While we are out there struggling to catch a few keepers, he catches limits of huge fish

I heard he was a good guy and have thought about going out on one his of guided flounder trips to get some tips!

Flounder might be the one fish that is better than the ol crappie to eat!

You just need some of those flounder seminars at the pavilion like I went to last year.....I can say I never got skinked one single time this summer floundering. The 26th still a good cat day with you Dayton ? Seen Joes new boat yet ?

Well, Neil put another client on some big fish this week. He had a 67 and a 77 on thursday 12-29. Here is a pic of the 77. Compare the 81 above to this 77. Guess, just like people, they come in all shapes.

Going out tomorrow to see if I can find one.

Have a great weekend everyone. Be safe.

    Dayton
