PICO Lures was founded in Corpus Christi , Texas by Fred Nichols in 1933. It is one of the oldest lure manufacturers. PICO stood for Padre Island Company. Anyway after many different owners thru the years it is now under the ownership of Mitch Glenn in Garfield, Arkansas. Mitch is gradulally rebuilding and reviving the company. Some of the old PICO lures are back in production along with new ones. For the Crappie fisherman is a line of jig heads and soft plastic baits. One line of soft plastics is the Scent ring series which is perfect for using with Crappie.coms own product Slab Sauce. Also PICO has their Int. Crankbaits for crappie and other species.
