Made it out this afternoon for a trip to a pond I don't fish often due to the water skiers. With an overcast sky and the air temperature at 64 degrees I figured there wouldn't be much traffic and I was correct. I was set up and fishing about 5pm, trolling my 3 lines as I headed out, water temp was 63.
Had trouble with my sonar from the get go; map would show the outer contour of the pond, showed the correct name and my location on the map but no contour lines. Nothing I tried would get them to show up. Later it would lock up and I couldn't shut it off with the power button, I had to pull the plug. That happened several times before I shut it off for good. Gonna have to look in to that.
I basically cut across the basin looking to fish an area of this pond that I've never fished. No bites at all until I got blown into the shallow water with some emergent weeds poking up. That's where I found the small crappie and 'gills hanging out.
Those first 2 are about 10" and would be the largest of the night and the only pictures I took tonight. Single pole cast and retrieve was the winning move as I got only 3 fish while trolling the edge and they were yellow perch.
My total for the night would be 28, with 4 perch, 1 bass and the rest a pretty even split between small bluegills of 6-6 1/2" and small crappie measuring from 6-10".
Probably the only time I'll fish this water this year but it was good action once I found them. Called it a night at 7:20.

Sounded like an okay trip after all. Maybe a stuck button?

D, I think I've narrowed it down to either a bad slot on the double micro SD reader in my Helix 9 or a bad micro SDcard. I keep my Zero lines map card in one slot and a blank card in the other.
I took a short trip Wednesday night (got blown off the water by the wind!) and without the blank card in the right hand slot things worked just fine.
Next time out hopefully I'll have a new blank card to plug in to see if gives me trouble or if it's the slot itself.
