    Default Maybe the last hurrah.

The past 10 days have been excellent on the ice, I got out 4 times and did well each time.
Came out this evening and got on okay but the ice is separated from shore by a foot of open water. I caught one big yellow perch so far but the crappie have yet to show. We shall soon see.

No shame in a mess of yellow perch on the table

Be careful on that late ice; I'm sure I don't have to tell you that. Late ice gets granular and punky FAST in warm temps with a warm breeze. Hope you get a bunch on your final trips!

We are all open water here now, all ice disappeared over the last 4-5 days.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

I caught 1 nice crappie and a half dozen perch, didn’t keep any tonight. It was dark and foggy and I didn’t dare wander around to try other spots. Maybe give it another go tomorrow night.

If posting from iPhone open the photo in app and then edit. You can crop slightly or do color adjust and then save it. Then when you upload it should be correct. I’ve found that by editing the photo and saving it somehow makes it post correctly on cdc. Could possibly try this also on android phone. Worth a shot.

Great late season ice trip. Be careful, open water will be here shortly.

From an IPhone, I’ll try editing them a bit before posting and see if that works next time. Thank you!
