Another decent day
Today my buddy and I went in to one of the best spots we fish. Air temp wasn't too bad. Mid 40's. Took the long boat ride before the sun came up so we could get in there as the bite was coming on. Did well but the bite wasn't as hot as it usually is by this time of year. Water temp was still only 52.
We caught around 20 - 25 Crappie between us, plus a few large Yellow Perch and 1 small Northern Pike. The females were full of eggs so we released them all. We only caught 5 males out of the bunch and kept those.
I finally broke the 15 inch mark for a new personal best. I have caught many at 14 and 14.5 but could never seem to get a 15 incher. I snapped a quick pic of her and let her go to release her eggs. There are bigger ones around there so hopefully that personal best will soon fall.
Got a pic of my buddy with a nice slab he released also. Had a good morning overall. Soon hopefully the fishing is going to get real good.
