    Default Lake O the Pines

    New to this site!

Anyone here fish this lake for Crappie?

I've been fishing it for better part of 20 yrs mainly in the winter for crappie stacked deep on the edge of the river channel.

I also fish the lake for catfish during the summer.

I am now living water front and want to set out a brush pile or three soon.

    Welcome aboard WonderDuck!

I fish pines. I also guide some on it. It just doesn't get any better than winter on pines. Great lake..

What's your best crappie from the pines? Mine's 2lb. 11 oz.

Hey WonderDuck welcome to the board. Where is your place up there? I'm probably going to get up there this weekend sometime.

LOP is the best lake in Texas for large fish IMO. We fish it every spring and do very well on the deep timber.
Best 7 weighed 15.48#'s last time down. I think we had a 2.56# that was our best fish so far. We weighed over 14#'s in two of the three tournaments we've fished there. Awesome lake!

Any of you guys know Fred Dooley?

Hi Prov. I know who Fred is. I do not know him personally. I have a good friend that fishes with him from time to time and I remember Fred from fishing tournaments

A get together would be fun. Even if it was at a corps pavilion or maybe over at Big Cypress marina.

We could do a get together here at the Lake House if your game?

Just be warned we are still under construction.

    How's Sunday afternnoon sound?
You can bring your drink of choice and I can flip a burger or two on the grill about 4 or 5pm
