Well that makes me feel better because I really like the flavor of sunfish/panfish. Haven't caught a bluegill in eons, only found yellow perch locally in number a couple years ago and they were all small and stunted but still make great little fillets for fish and chips. Found crappie here for the first time last year, really good breaded and fried and tried fish tacos for the first time with them.

Looking like we will be moving to the Palestine, Athens, Tyler area. I see lots of nice lakes, just have to hope I can find bank access that I can catch fish from.
bank access might be a chore to find , but to be sure if you can find the right dock and get permission to ketch off it , you will be in some KABOOM for sure
Tyler state park has some real nice coppernose bluegill in it btw
