I went scanning on this particular body of water. Looking for under water treasure chest. Had to look around a bit, because i hadn't really fished here since the mid 90's. It didn't take too terribly long for the old side scan to reveal some of those sunken treasure chest. So i through out a buoy, and drove my jig deep into the brush. First dip produced fish. I then proceeded to putting hurting on these overly eager black crappie. Not a lot of huge fish, but a lot of fun nonetheless. Biggest went 1.50. Quarter ounce jig, with stump bug did the trick. This treasure chest sat in 21'. Id bump the brush with jig, then raise it a few inches. That would produce and immediate bite. I did manage to catch a few that were suspended 5' above the brush, but most were right in it. Water temp was 44. Just a classic winter time crappie catching kind of day. Name: 20210122_150305.jpeg
