Thread: Depressing

is the word , my most favorite walk to from work spot on the river is just not worth the walk anymore .
this year and last the crappie that used to be there in herds just dont exist best i can tell . not sure exactly why but to be sure they aint there in any numbers any more .
this time of year it should be a whack festival with bunches of big crappie coming in to hand model with me . but after the big floods a couple of years ago something drastically changed down there and the bottom isnt the same and the fish just dont hang around in there .
it seems to have silted in somewhat and is shallower and the cover on the bottom seems to be sparse as well . even the bridge columns on the other side that used to hold fish well dont seem to have anything going on either .to make matters worse little yellow bass are in numbers and drive you nuts .
in the end i was actually pleased i managed to ketch just one small black crappie . let me tell you this ....
THAT is depressing
