Got a late start and knew we would battle wind. Found one spot that did not have the heavy wind blowing directly at us so dropped LS, saw fish, and slammed a dozen beauties in a couple of hours. Brush was at 27 feet and, yes, the water was clear and 57 degrees. LS let us adjust our jigs to just on the brush. The crappie were holding in the brush and would not venture out more than a couple of inches but when they hit the jig it was a THUMP from your dreams. Temperature dropped 20 degrees and the wind picked up even more. Lucky to get the boat on the trailer. Wind burned and happy, we were.
