I went to East Texas State University in the early 80's. And I used to fish Pat Mayse a lot back then. I had an old wooden john boat and a 1967 Mustang. I was fishing that lake on April 2, 1982. And I had caught a couple of small bass when I noticed a heck of a lot of dark clouds gathering in the west. I decided to get of the lake and it took me about 45 minutes to row back to where I had left the car/trailer. I loaded up and took off towards Commerce Tx driving through Paris to get a coke. I got very lucky as I had a tornado chase me near Campbell street and out of town. I have never fished Pat Mayse since.
