    Default Lake Arrowhead

I've been fishing Arrowhead the past 2 weeks. The fishing has been hot and a couple of days have been just slow. March 22 it's was good, caught a limit. Next day slow, only 7. Water temp was in mid to high 50's. Monday the 26th the water temp was up to 61,and the fishing was RED HOT!!! Fish were anywhere from a foot to 4'. Mostly males, a few females. Today was different story. The lake had come up a foot and was very dirty. Or more dirty than it usually is. I managed to get 10,but it wasn't easy. Had to really work for them. A far cry from Mondays thump fest. All fish caught on jigs. Pink head, black/chart body. Non painted head, monkey milk body. Black head, electric chicken body. Those were the winning colors. April should be a good month on this lake. Oh, I forgot to mention. The cold front that blew through yesterday. Pretty sure it didn't help matters today.

Ketchn, as soon as I figure out how to post pics I will. Not sure what I'm missing.

Yes sir, there are some quality fish in the lake. I got a 15" about a week ago. A buddy nailed a 15" in the deep water yesterday. 14" is pretty common. There are quite a few in 13" range. I love this fishery. Last year was a long drawn out spawn. With different waves of fish moving in and out of shallow water. From the end of March through mid may. Mid may was the grand finale. By then water was 71, I was catching them from 6"-2'. A few days later it was over.

I'm not sure how this spawn is gonna play out. Another cold front pushed through this morning. A more powerful front is supposed to push through Tuesday. Warm up mid to late week , then another front on Saturday. I'm hoping by mid month we get a little more stability in the weather fronts. Sorry for rambling. Haha. Hope everyone has a fantastic April.

when you start a new post or thread the uploader is a paperclip beside the happy face , it opens a new window and you browse your files and hit upload when you load one into the box ....its not terribly difficult on a new thread
on an existing thread its a bit more complicated as you have to use the advanced posting venue and then it opens a field like an original new thread window with the paperclip beside the happy face ....
hope that helps and as always KABOOM
