Howdy y'all,

I'll be in the DFW area over x-mas and was looking to do a little spec hunting. Problem is, I won't have a boat. I've read in past post that some of the creeks produce pretty well around this time of year down there but I don't know if that is still the case? Or are they're lakes in the area with access to fish around docks or other structure? I'm not looking for specific secret spots or anything like that just a little general guidance on where to begin. I'll be down there for a whole week with plenty of time on my hands and don't want to spend the WHOLE TIME with the in-laws.

Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated.
