Just got off the phone with them. They told me they dont stock crappie because they have done it before and after evaluating it didnt seem to work. Not sure if they was stocking big fish or little fish. I am got tpwd coming out to evalute the lake this summer to see what we can do. Heck may not be able to do anything. Guy told me that I could get some people together and stock it with crappie we would just have to get a free permit from them to do it.

next problem is that the majority of breeders only have hybridized and black crappie for sale ...so you would have to get a permit to stock whites after you ketch legal ones elsewhere if that was in the program . it would seem to me that the water body like I said would have them anyway ...is it not prone to flooding like the rest of nueces river drainage ?

Yes but there is nothing above us. Where we are is almost the head of the river. It starts just above barksdale. Where i am talking is just south of camp wood on 55
