    Default heads up .....

all spawning locations in the dfw area are flat out busy . I hit a spot after the storm blew thru yesterday , got there before sun up ALL by myself and at 8 30 am when I left there were 9 trucks there and more pulling up . I suggest if you have one you like , best hit it and get ya some fish while the getting is good .
I managed only 9 crappie and a bass and kept 3 for dinner and gave up the rest of the fish to some other folks . The spawn is well under way at most spots and even getting a bit slow on some spots because they started a bit early this year it seems to me .All the fish I managed were of legal size and only one was close to legal min.
I am sure there are spots that are going to get better , but there are some that are for sure getting into the late small fish venue . the 3 I kept were what we had for dinner and the shad were spawning like madness along the shoreline about 8 am as far as the eye could see up and down the bank .
so I would think in about 6 to 8 weeks you might want to DOWNSIZE your baits .....

This time of year I hit the lake right at sun up. I am typically heading home by 9:30am.
