You will be about a 45 min up the road from me. As Skinner80 mentioned, Stillhouse and Belton will be near by. I have not fished either, but have friends who do. Stillhouse seems to be popular with friends. Belton has Zebra Mussels so you will have to take precautions if fishing this lake.

My home lake is Granger about 45 min south from where you will be.. It is known as a crappie lake, but this year was tough for everyone. I have only been fishing for crappie for 2 years, so don't do quite as well as some of the locals but locals have been very helpful.
