Default Rayburn from 5/20 through 5/26

Boat and truck are packed to the gills with camping equipment. Went last Thursday and caught half an ice chest of five species off the 147 bridge and some brush piles: crappie, bream, catfish, white and black bass. Ratio of throwbacks:keeper-size crappie was down to about 4-5:1, which is a vast improvement over three weeks ago when it was 12-15:1 and they mocked my existence. Still, none of the 17 keeper crappie I caught Thursday had evidence of spawning marks/sores on sides/fins. What is up with the crappie? Are they STILL on the beds and not back out to the piles or what?

Haven't been on the water this year yet so I can't help you any. Rooters report should be of help to you, sounds pretty typical Rayburn bite after the spawn so good luck filling the freezer. Ferdi
