This was Saturday and Sunday and Saturday was much slower than Sunday was. Still I am a bit confused as usually we see all males at first and the Black Crappie are usually all lit up, but only one male was lit up and we caught more females than I would have liked. Still had a good time with my neighbor Robert Brown catching these fish.

Wishing you Blue Skies and Tight Lines
Thanks NYHellbender! Boy your handle here sure reminds me of the early days of bass fishing and them darn Hellbenders.
Great job Skip, glad to see someone finally post something good and encouraging on here about them "CRAPPIE" fish everyone is after. Looking good, Ferdi
Beautiful fish , Skip. I'm thinking of going Saturday. What area should I fish? Southern end? I'll be on the Louisiana side. Thanks.
I am at Six Mile so right across from Pirates Cove, kind of. So I would think most of the South end should be good. Don't know, but seems maybe Negret (sp) creek may be something to look at too. I also know they are doing really well just to my North in Houses Bayou too. I have not talked to anyone more North so don't know much about that. Also have not talked to anyone way down on the South end either.
Thanks guys!
