Default Toledo Bend - Negreet Bay

The family and I will be staying up around the back end of Negreet Bay in early March. I've always fished the Texas side/mid-lake area so I'm unfamiliar with the Spring crappie haunts in that creek. Any advice would be appreciated as I'd like at least one mess to fry while we're up there. Thanks in advance for any hot spots or tips.

    Tex

Sorry Tex, I have never fished that far North on the La. side and have not even gone over to that side in years. So I am of no help other than to wish you good luck!

1st let me say it's been 25 yrs since I fished Negreet but as you get in the back, Negreet Creek runs through a huge flooded pine forest. you should be able to tear em up back there on any of the flats off the creek.

Thanks JigFisher. I saw the flooded timber on the map. I just hope the weather and water temp will be right. hoping the crappie are starting to move into spawning territory. I also saw on the map a deep creek channel next to the shore. Kinda like the Coop. We shall see. Thanks for responding
