Murvaul
I grew up fishing the north end of Toledo bend mostly around Tenaha creek and Huxley Bay. To make a long story short, I married a girl from the Timpson - Garrison area and now live there. I've been driving back forth on the weekends from my house to the Huxley area fishing for the last 6 years and have decided to try murvaul to save the drive. I have never fished murvaul and cannot find any maps to show creeks or ledges or anything.
If anybody could help me find some creeks or deep holes or old brush piles or anything where I might catch a few white perch would be greatly appreciated. Or if they are up shallow getting ready for the spawn, where is a good place to start? I'm not expecting anyone to tell me there secret holes just a good place to start. I would even trade you couple of my spots on Toledo bend!!!!!haha. Anything would be great. Thanks in advance!

Just got back into fresh water fishing again. I haven't fished Murvaul in years, 40 or so. Fishing for bream and bass in those years. We always stayed at the campground near the dam. I have heard that there is a hump right out in front of the camp with maybe cattails growing that works well when they are shallow. Other than that, all I have heard is start in front of the dam and work back to the bridge. I am planning to hit Bayou Seppe, south of Huxley this weekend.

ive heard some good things from 'BiSiepe' (this is what my family has always called it, haha) but most are catching them off of the bank down past the bridge, just walking in. I havent tried it this year, i have been catching them on Tenaha creek up stream about 2 miles from the bridge.

i fished the bridge about 3 weeks ago and caught a few keepers on minnows. and watched a guy that was there before i got there fishing just east of the boat lane with a double jig rig bring them in pretty regular. best i could see blk and chrt. and culling for about 2 hrs. hope that helps.
