Many guys use jig poles or cast with rod & reel.
Today I saw a fisherman fishing a trench line in the lake and was catching them as fast as he threw his line in. I know he was using a jig---I never saw him put a minnow on his line.
I need to get better at jig fishing---Minnows are a bummer in the summer time.
Jigs is no problem---I have bought many, many.
I guess I need to narrow the jigs down to a few instead of a hundred.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Just another opinion here.
Big fan of Bobby Garland jigs and number one on my list is the "electric chicken" lam.
Am havin' fun with the "slider" action and eatin' more crappie than ever. Look at the
Bobby Garland jigs and remember, if it ain't chartruse, whats the use?
    Tight lines to ya.
