    Question Lake Whetherford Crappie house?

I used to fish Joe Pools crappie house. But I've recently moved. I'm closer to Wheatherford now. Has any one fished their crappie house, how is if compaired to Joe pools?

I have fished both the State Park Carppie House and the other place. I quit fishing the marina a long time ago because of the attitude of the people there. I fish Weatherford 4 or 5 times a year. A guy just bought out the old owners and has cleaned it up a little. Real nice people. I have caught some 14" crappie and a lot of smaller ones. It is like everywhere else I have fished, sometimes good, but also some skunk days. Have always enjoyed the House and the people I have met there. The only problem with Weatherford, is the water level is usually lower than most of the lakes in the area. I like to fish there in the winter, because I will set on one of the rod boards the have inside on the far end and put my propane heater under me and stay nice and comfie. Hope to meet you out there sometime. Enjoy.

Right now Weatherford Lake is full and a little dingy.............but, the Crappie House is higher than it has
been in years. Fished it several times this year and caught some really nice slabs, up to 16 inchers. Lots of culls,
but good keepers too. The only negative is personal (smokey, smokey, smokey), otherwise easy to fish. The locals
know what they are hittin' on and will share info. Family atmosphere and is video monitored, for your safety.
