If any of you are around E-Tex, grab your wadders and head to the Kikkapoo. Just west of Chandler on 31, park on the side of the road by the west bridge. Start walking south. all you need is a few jigs. You ned the wadders to get thru som mud but it is well worth it. The creek is only 25 - 30 ft across with lots of old tree stumps sticking up. Just cast and haul em in. you can use a jig about 2 ft under a float. Got 23 in 2 hrs.

ok cool thanks for the info
fishing man c - He is referring to the Kickapoo Creek on lake Palestine, not the Kickapoo creek on Livingston.

Thanks LP I was about to head to Kickapoo on livingston when I get back from hunting. I was getting excited
Hey slabnabbin, glad to see ya on here too! Yeah, Kickapoo creek on Palestine has been really good for the past few weeks or so, it's shallow so it's bank fishing and waders. I haven't been cause it's about dark when I get off work, so I have to wait till I get home on the weekends and go to Liv or Conroe lol. I really like fishing Palestine though.

Lonestar Proud,
The past few days have been just two - three fish compaired to limits last week. I am going in on the south side and going around both little bends as far back as you can walk. I got two today the little one was 12" and the big on 14.5".
I wish I would have had some time to get into some of that crappie fishin the past few weeks ETex. Shouldn't be much longer and the WB are gonna start coming up the creek and river also, and this rain droping down on my 5th wheel here tonight at the lake can only help!

I saw it all the way from VA and thought Lake Livingston also.
One of ya all, if anyone fishes it, should do a report on Nails Creek on Lake Somerville. I used to have some real fun going up it on an African Queen-type trip. Fishing was good too.
