Thread: What’s with all the extra characters in the posts?

Wondering about that, myself. Must be some update or change in the iPhone/iPad OS, as it's not occurring from Android users. My guess is that it's not translating correctly on this site, for some reason. It's sorta like the sideways pics problem ... Apple products are sending info that the site cannot display, so the basic code is displayed (or something like that).

The extra characters in the post you see are what they call emojis - animated characters, smiley faces, etc. Lots of emojies doing all sorts of things. It's become rampant. Many of us don't do that because we're not on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Ticktock, etc. where they think it's cute to post along with their content. Why, don't know.

Some member's posts here are loaded with them for some reason. Clint - I'm seeing the same as you because I block the silly emojies. Just content for me I want to read about.
