I picked these up at Cabelas yesterday and tied two after installing the eyes last night. These are the large size olive meant for 1-2/0 fly hooks but since I didn't have any that size I used a couple 30 degree swim jig hooks. The helmets weigh about 1/11 oz and finished these weigh over 1/8 oz so a fly guy wouldn't want to throw these on a 4-5 wt., more like an 8wt. So is it a fly or jig??? The hooks I used were 2/0's in two different styles. Tails are krystal flash, silicone rubber and cape or saddle hackle. Body crosscut bunny. You put the helmet on after you tie the "fly". A little superglue on the threads,slide the head into place,then tie in the thread head,another drop of superglue and you are finished.
