There's no difference in the slots when using a regular SD Card for Nav data management or capturing screenshots/recordings ...

Map cards can also be used in either slot ...

*1 single map card will automatically be recognized in either slot when the "Chart Select" menu choice under the Chart tab is set to "Auto" ...

*2 map cards in the unit will default to read the map card in the right card slot when the "Chart Select" menu choice under the Chart tab is set to "Auto" ...

*2 map cards in the unit can be forced to read the map card in the left card slot when the "Chart Select" menu choice under the Chart tab is set to "Left Card Slot" ...

From CamoHunter in another forum ...

QUOTE=CamoHunter;4363353]If you have an 1198, you do not have AutoChart LIVE. Your only option is AutoChart or AutoChart Pro on a computer.

B]AutoChart LIVE is ONLY available on the ONIX and the newer Helix models (9, 10, 12). AutoChart LIVE is built into the actual depthfinder and allows you to create maps while on the water.

B]AutoChart and B]AutoChart PRO: The only difference between these two PC Computer softwares, is that AutoChart PRO adds the ability to create a Bottom Hardness layer and Side Imaging layer. Otherwise the two versions are identical. AutoChart and AutoChart PRO are computer programs, and you would need import your data from your depthfinder, into the computer program to create a map.

The bottom hardness layer, is ONLY visible in the computer software. There is no way to export that layer to your ZeroLines SD card.

The Side Imaging layer, you CAN export to your ZeroLines SD card, and view on your depthfinder.

As far as your question about loosing Lakemaster data. That will never happen. AutoChart & the ZeroLines SD card are completely separate. You are supposed to be able to display both at the same time though. Base Layer: Lakemaster, Overlay: AutoChart map. (pg. 17 of the Zeroline SD card manual). Some people have had issues getting that to work properly though, so they've had to choose to display one or the other.

Hope that answers all your questions!
QUOTE=HBirdDeborahCRC;6184748]Jigging Mode - is a selection in the 2D Sonar Express Menu. It allows the user to select the sonar ping pattern for use while vertical jigging. When turned ON the ping pattern will be: 200 kHz, Left SI Beam, Right SI Beam, 83 kHz, repeat. With this mode turned OFF the ping pattern will be: 200 kHz, Left SI Beam, Right SI Beam, 83 kHz, Left SI Beam, Right SI Beam, repeat. Basically this feature prioritizes the 2D beam over the SI beam.
Here's what I give to my pros when they have to fish out of pre-rigged boats i.e. top 10 on FLW TOUR:

TRANSFER PROCEDURE:

Step 1) Save data from Humminbird unit:
Attach a SD card reader to computer
Insert card in card reader
Save data from Humminbird unit to the MMD/SD card by going to the Main Menu NAV tab and selecting Export All Nav Data.

Step 2) Convert Humminbird waypoint file to GPS Exchange format:

Attach the SD card reader to your PC and place the SD card in the slot
Launch the Humminbird PC software application.
You will see a SD card icon. If you don’t see the card make sure the reader is plugged in and a card is in the reader.
Use the From SD card to PC arrow to transfer the waypoint data from the card.
Once the waypoint data is loaded (displayed) highlight the .gpx file shown in the upper left corner.
Select FILE, SAVE AS and direct it to the SD card (E: drive).
You will now have a .gpx file on the SD card to be used in step 3.

Step 3) Upload Humminbird waypoints to Easy GPS

Open EasyGPS S/W
Select OPEN FOLDER ICON (second from left on tool bar)
Select file saved on Desktop in Step 1

Select SEND Button
“Select a GPS” form will appear
Select “Add GPS” button
Select Lowrance from list on left
Select Unit model from list on right
Connect via file, select OK
Select OK on “Select a GPS” form
Select OK on “Receive from GPS” form
Select OK on “SEND TO GPS” form
Add name of new file to be created to file name line (Lowr_wypts.usr)

Step 4) Upload waypoints to SD card

Transfer Lowr_wypts.usr file to MMD/SD card (You can copy/paste or drag file name to window for Data card reader)

Step 5) Load new waypoints to Lowrance unit

Load MMD/SD card into Lowrance unit
Press Menu, Menu System Setup – Transfer my Data Press Enter button
Select the Load Key.
Highlight your saved file and select Load.
