Thread: Just Returned from Big Sandy

Fished Wed., Thur, Fri. and this morning, but only til 8. We had 85 keepers between 3 of us. We didn't catch a single fish after the storms yesterday. Most were female whites full of eggs and a lot of male blacks. Water temp. never climbed over 58 while we were there. Red & Chartreuse jigs seemed to work best. We really enjoyed meeting some of the locals on the Big Sandy River, but the ones out in the gravel pit were less forthcoming when asked to explain the "secret tape" markings on the markers...... Hmmmmmmm..

Oh well, there's the quick report. Now I have to go mow my very neglected yard!

Thanks for the report. I was out Fri morning as well before getting chased off by the weather. Found some water out of the wind, and found some fish in 8-10' of water. Red and chart. was good to me too. Wish I could have fished longer, as I actually thought I might be putting together a pattern.
