    Default Chickamauga 2/9

Sailfish, Pee Wee and I fished out of 58 hwy ramp today. fished the bluffs downriver of bridge. Caught 100 fish with only 8 keepers before the wind ran us in. Had a great time on a beautiful day with 2 good fellows. Sailfish showed me how to rig the slip float and used minnows most of the day. On occasion we tied on some tube baits and caught a few but the minnows seemed to be the ticket where we were. Caught most in 5-10 ft of water 5-10 feet off the bluffs. Lot of folks on the water for a monday. Thanks Sailfish for showing me a new method. Going again ASAP. Water temp. 45-47degrees. This sun keeps a shineing with these temps they will be jumping in the boat. Going to use the planer boards next trip it's getting time.

How far downriver do you have to travel to get out of the waterfoul refuge area that's closed to fishing until March,1?

me and my buddy peewee had the pleasure of fishing with tenncrappie monday,we had a blast, fishing and conversation was absolutely wonderful. as tenncrappie stated, there was a ton of fish, just not alot of keepers where we were. we are gonna go back when they open up the bays below the bridge and start trolling

    Default Waterfowl Refuge at 58

The boundry runs from 58 hwy bridge downriver to north of Hiwassee Island where the hiwassee runs into the tennessee river and south of hiwassee island on the tennessee to the old Blythe Ferry crossing was before the new bridge was built. You can go downriver at 58 and fish just need to anchor close to the buoys and cast to the rock bluff to be legal. I think the TWRA is mostly concerned with the enbayments more than anything if not they could have written a book full of tickets Monday.

Thanks. I think I'll just stay above the bridge until March!
