Trolled again today for two in a row. I guess I'm on a roll. A lot better than work any day. Had a friend in the boat today from Georgia by the name of Eddie Smith. It's all about the friends in my book. We had a ball trolling in the same slew off of Hiwassee river. The bite was good and we caught 100 plus fish. Mr. Smith was busy working the boards we call it. That is planer boards. We ran 10 planer boards with Southern Pro Grubs and J R jiggs in 1/16 oz to 1/8 oz. We ran 12 feet behind the board in water from 4 to 9 feet deep at .8 mph. The only problem was that most of the fish were small. We ended up with 21 when the big wind blew us off latter in the afternoon. Again we caught both male and female and up to 13" for the big ones. All in all we had a good day but not quite as good as yesterday. Man I can't wait to go again.

ATVJUNK, I think we can get together sometime. What is your location? I typically fish on Friday thru the following Monday. Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it's off to work I go the rest of the week. There are no secrets except for people who live forever. I don't know any of these people but there must a lot of them since a lot don't share their knowledge ( secrets ). Anyway, life is way to short not to share.

Above the bridge Dr. John. Can't get out of the river channel below the bridge until March 1. Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge rule. It supposed to protect the water fowl. Not to many fishermem bother the ducks. A wildlife officer told me that the fish need a place to rest as well when I told him that we would not bother the ducks. Here is my friend Tim Gardner in Sugar Creek last year in late April after full pool. Caught them real late in the season on the planers.
