    BIG SLAB CRAPPIE....

    Two over 3lbs...

    3-4 ft of water deep in the buck bushes... close to deep water. Btw.. Im new to the board so..Hello.

    I''m coming to Barkley the week of 5/19 so can you give me a little info, on what area of barkley you where fishing?

    South of Dover... past Dover Island... just find a creek with the same water discription I mentioned earlier.

    Hey Glockmeister.....Welcome to crappie.com...Lots of good people on this site. I also live in Goodlettsville and fish Barkley when I can get away. I think I know where your gun shop is. Maybe I will stop by and say hey one day. Sounds like you had a blast. What type of bait were you using?

    minnows..... and they had to be alive. We kept running out. We'd go out with 8-10 dozen at a time. They would hit a dead one, but you would have to jig it up and down a bit to trigger then bite... nothing like hte live minnow bite. We caught a few on jigs but we were WAY up in the bushes.
