    Default Old Hickory 3/20/08

    Dead.

Muddy, but with surprisingly little current. Water temp was 62-64 degrees. Nope, that ain't a misprint and no, it wasn't at the Steam Plant.

Could not buy a bite. One crappie, a few bream. Nothing of any size.

Completely unrelated: I must have the only dog in the state who can spend five hours in a boat, come home, and empty a half gallon water bowl.

I'm really suprised about the current. The water is up about 10 feet from normal below the dam. I know that PP is probably letting out a lot of water but it seems that most of it would be coming from OH. I saw where center hill was really letting a lot out and also wolf creek.

Just so you know they are letting a lot out. All the dams are letting out right now there is some pretty bad flooding in the ohio... So they are trying to limit what they send and at the same time keep the Cumberland down because of Dam work.

My wife and I will be out there this weekend for sure.

But for awhile, I wasn't sure whether I would have a boat with all that rain. My parking area around my boat was a stream about 7-8" deep, thought I was about to set the anchor so it wouldn't float away:D

I'm off work Sun-Tues. Will probably fish all day on Tues. Trying to decide between Old Hickory and Priest. Hmm.....right now Priest is starting to sound better.
