I've used the Tite-lok's for about three years now on my boat. I agree with some of the frustrations expressed here about the holders. I replaced the rod holder wingnuts with hex head screws and recently replaced the base screws with bolts that I now tighten down with a rachet. This has made them very solid.

Up until adding the bolts for the bases, I had actually thought of trying to sell them to buy some driftmasters. Now that I've got the Tite-lok's figured out, I'm okay with them.

It does seem like they would try to address these issues to make their product better. I think in theory their setup design is good. Just needs some tweaking. My 2 cents.
