Thread: Tellico 3-13-08

Beautiful day on the water, but when it came to catchin' em...that's another story. Got on the water at 8:00. Caught 4 specks in 5 hours. 2 keepers. Fished shallow all morning (5-8 ft). Water temp was 54...I thought they'd moved in a little shallower with the temps, but I guessed wrong. Tried minnies and jigs...rough day. Still beats the heck out of going to work! Lake is down about 5-6 ft from normal pool...hopefully we'll get some warm rain soon and they'll start to spawn. Tight lines!!!

We were gonna try Tellico today but something came up and we didn't make it. Where did you say that you put in at on Tellico?. I am familiar with a few ramps but I thought you said that you put in at a ramp on 411 north of Vonore. Just trying to figure out where that is. I had a friend fish Lazer Landing today and he didn't do that well either

I put in at the Morganton Rec area (north of Vonore off Hwy 441) today. It has 2 ramps and good parking. There's some horse trails right there and the cowboys and the fishermen assist each other by looking after the trailers in the parking lot for security purposes.
