Thread: Tellico 3-11-08

First time on Tellico this year. Got on the water around 8:00. Fished just off main channels (46-48 degrees) in 20 ft. Specks were hitting between 8-10 ft. Later in the day I tried the backs of creeks and caught several males with very torn-up tails. Temp in creeks was 50-52, murky water. Chartreuse jigs sometimes tipped with minnow on tightline. Ended up with 12 keepers out of 23. Off the water around 1:30. Sure beats work! Tight lines yall.

Thats good to hear! I hope to go on Thursday myself. I put in at Vonore Beach or Lazer Landing. We will see what happens. I have not tightlined at all. Is that where you just troll or drift with a couple of jigs? Do you use a sinker below the jigs. Maybe sometimes I could hook up with you and have you show me how that works.
