Thread: Had a nice chat with the Skunk

Water was low and muddy this morning when I slid the boat off the trailer at 9 am. Water temp was 50 dgrees when I started. Lake is at least 3 feet lower than 2 weeks ago. I shot docks and pontoon boats. I threw all kinds of colors at them. Different sizes at well. About 11am I pulled 2 crappie out from under a dock. 10 minutes later it turned into a 15 minute battle to the net. My personal best ( my only one)Mirror Carp. No more fish came off that dock. I let it rest for and hour and nothing. Picked up 2 more crappie on a different dock. They would slam it when they hit it. I blame it on the muddy water. Couldn't see the jig past 6 inches down. Off all the colors I threw Blue Ice was the color that got bit.
