Thread: Special Guest / Personal Best

Well it was Friday the 13th. Allegedly the most cursed day of the calendar. Does this mean that dark forces would be at work on this day to minimize angler success on the water? Hmm perhaps. But to be sure, lets just go see.
I had a special guest today. We met up around 4pm, made sure there was plenty of snacks in the boat and off we went. Little girls do need a snack after school you know.
Settling into our fishing destination and getting things organized, I notice the lake temp has risen to 58 degrees. Four degrees warmer than it was just a few days ago.
Before I know it, my guest reels in a 13" crappie. A new personal best. This was quickly followed up with an Ah yeah! Uh huh! Dance right there in the middle of the boat!
Wouldn't rub it in would ya?
We had laughs, told jokes, poked at one another, and caught fish. Two limits later we were out of day light and had to called it a day. 32 to be precise. So would I call this Friday the 13th unlucky? Nah I would have to say this myth was bogus. Today was one of the best!
