Ft Loudoun 3-2-19
Hi all,
New guy here. I'm trying my hand at focusing on crappie this spring. I didn't get to fish at all last year due to building a house, but that is going to change this year!
Anyways, I went out on Loudoun on Saturday to enjoy the day without rain.
The water temp was 48 - 49 degrees. Water is stained still, and I assume even worse now after the rain yesterday.
All I managed was one keeper and some other blue gill using minnows under a slip float.
I caught the keeper a little way up in a creek in about 15 ft of water, but still fairly close to the main channel.
I assume all the crappie are still staging on the main lake? Too early for them to be up in the creeks? I also assume this crazy weather is taking a toll on any kind of pattern?
