OH is a tough nut to crack trolling or spider rigging. This time of the year is tough for crappie on OH, the water needs to cool some. Like Blueball said, OH is more a dock shooting lake. If you fish Barton's and Spring creeks docks you can pick up some crappie, shooting or tight lining with a 10 foot pole in the slips. A couple weeks ago I trolled cranks around the dam area and caught six nice crappie along with drum and catfish before the lake lice came out, but it was tough. Docks and lay downs on the main lake will pick up in September, fish will migrate back into the tributaries into first part of November. I would definitely get a note pad and start a log noting water and weather conditions, docks and lay downs that hold fish, how you caught the fish, this will help when your putting together a game plan. As a side note, I've done better spider rigging, long line trolling and cranking on Percy Priest.
Good luck,
Ray
