Jacob and I fished JPP today with one of his friends, Logan. We launched about 5:45 this morning and you could already tell the day was going to be hot. The crappie were cooperative right away, but the bite didn't last all that long. The crank baits were more popular with the crappie than the jigs, and chartreuse seemed to be the color of choice. Most of the fish hit before 9AM, and we had a couple of nice ones get off just outside of the reach of the net. Man, I hate to lose a fish once it is on. I'll look for those on the next trip. We ended up with 9 nice crappie, a bonus channel cat and a white bass. Here's some pics...
