Thread: Is the spawn over?

I have no idea! Here in God’s Country, we just kind of skipped spring and moved on to summer. Water temps yesterday evening was 73-75. Jet skis were buzzing around like pesky flies. Wake boats were, well they were creating tsunami wakes! It seems they were doing their best to test my self inflating PFD! Heard some thunder, felt some sprinkles, fought the demon that lives in my trolling motor. All of this shoved in to a two hour tour! Oh, the fishing? It was pretty dadgum good! Instead of beating the banks trying to pluck one here and there, we set up over brush in 22 FOW. It was on! Plus, I am now a proud owner of Slab Sauce! This guy liked it so well that he wanted his picture taken with it.
Then there was this one, I call him Otis, who seems to have some sort of addiction!
When the “demon” would let me stay on the brush, we caught fish! It was a productive quick trip, for sure!
Is the spawn over? Who cares?! But the fish are biting! Get ready for an enjoyable summer! Fish all you can, because summer will be over before you know it! Just like this productive day!
