Thread: Shallow bite was on at reelfoot this wknd

Had low expectations arriving thur evening with cold front and N wind and post cold front conditions Fri and sat. Then talking with locals and guides that said they werent catching much if any. Managed to get 20 thur evening fishing grass in a ditch. Friday was a little better even with bluebird skies and N wind ended with 56 between 2 boats and 3 people. Sat they really turned on fishing knees 12" deep 118 between 4 people. Love that lake its a tough one to figure out and keep a pattern tho but this year was a success would love to be back this coming wknd. The males were starting to get color and females were bloated . Caught all fishing strictly minnows under a slip bobber.
