Cuonthelake and I made another short trip to the Riverpark for bluegills. We got there before the predicted fish movements, but when the feeding period arrived, the gills turned on at a pretty good clip. Although I did catch a 8.5" bluegill on the very first cast, it was quite a while before the major movement began. After an hour of so of just catching a small gill from time to time, the fish decided it was time to feed.
For a little over an hour, we caught Bluegills and one shellcracker on trout magnets and Southern Pro Tiny Worms, each tipped with a powerbait crappie nugget. We released everything under 8" and I ended up with 17 that made the trip home with me. The biggest that we measured was 9.25". It was much fun today.
The water temp was 44 degrees when we started and we started off in sunshine and light wind. Then the weatherman had to get in on the act and it clouded up and the wind picked up and it wasn't supposed to. But in the end, the sun came back out and the wind died off and the fish bite picked up.
I enjoyed the trip. I was getting cabin fever and I know that the fish have been missing us.

'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
