Last Trip
Last trip for 2017 is in the books, and I’ve got some refining to do in 2018. The water temp was 45, and I bought minnows for the first time in a year. On a side note about that, I stopped at C&C Outdoors and asked for 3 dozen. I definitely got a good count, probably x2! The 4 mph “forecast” wind was more than I could handle, so I had to find a somewhat sheltered area. First drop, and fish on! The problem was, a bunch of little ones. I definitely caught a bunch, but very few keepers. The Bream were very active as well, and they loved them minners!
My New Year’s resolution is to improve my understanding of my electronics. I am going to study and practice to learn what I am seeing. Resolution number two is to keep a log. I have heard that so many times, it’s a great idea, and I am going to do it. I am addicted to Crappie fishing, and with a new year looming, I am going to improve my skills.
I wish the best to each of you in the new year! The chill is coming, so stay safe. My BIL sent me a couple of photo from West TN of Reelfoot from Friday, December 29. Beautiful, but I’m hoping we don’t get quite this cold!
