Got a later start (9:00 am) Saturday than I had hoped but was happy to be on the water. Started out spider rigging with jigs tipped with minnows working the channel ledges in the 14 to 18 foot range. Was marking a lot of fish but only had 1 fish in the well after 2 hours moving around to a couple spots. Water temps were in the upper 40's when I started and began bumping the 50 degree mark at 11:00 so I re rigged and began slow trolling curly tails, staying in the same depth range. I trolled over a couple spots that marked a lot of fish and began catching one here, one there. After a several passes I had 8 nice ones in the well and had narrowed my colors to Popsicle and blue/black body with chart curly tail. I moved to another spot to get out of the wind and picked up 6 more there before calling it a day (around 3:00). Only had one short fish, most were in the 12" to 13" range, biggest was shy of 14", felt like a slow day but was happy to catch what I did. Best trolling speed was 1 mph, a little faster and I started catching yellow bellies, slower and I caught blue gill???? All in all it was a "pretty crappie day" and I loved every minute of it!!!

Good luck to all,

Ray
