My reports always consist of catching fish. So, to be fair, this one is about NOT catching fish. We have just not been able to find them the last few trips. We were able to scrape together enough for a meal last week, but it took two trips! It's going to get better, and I will be there!
On a totally unrelated note, we did a hike to Mt. Leconte this week. I have live at the foot of the Smoky Mountains my entire life, and this was my first trip to Leconte. That was time well spent!
P.S., I marked that pool on my handheld GPS. I will return with a fly rod!
P.S.S. I don't know how that last pic got in there!! Go Vols!

Have ran into a bear on that trail.
The Little River trail out of Elkmont is a favorite of ours out to the Cucumber Trail junction.
Most of it parallels the river..and I have seen fish from one spot on the trail.
It's rated easy and come to think of it we have seen bears there too.

I've hiked that trail as well, and it is very pretty. I like to hike along the streams, and have been know to stick a collapsible spinning rig in my pack, along with a small Plano of Rooster Tails! I am trying to learn to fly fish. I'm not very good, but there lies another challenge! We saw two bears this trip, but both were near the road, and we were in our vehicle.
Great pics.
