Enjoying a week off work with family. We have been fishing between the storms and having a blast exploring new areas of the lake and new techniques. We caught a mixed bag trolling cranks this morning targeting a depth of 15 ft over 20-25 fow. Some nice crappie came to the boat. Some largemouth couldn't resist our bandit 300s. Stripe bass and catfish also joined the party. Even a bluegill took a stab at the bandit not much smaller than it was. We switched techniques in the afternoon when we came across a deep brush pile that was lit up like a Christmas tree on the fishfinder. I caught three keeper crappie on three consecutive casts channeling my best Drumking palsy twitch impression. One TARP came to the boat. My brother also caught a 13.5in off the same pile. Caught six keepers in 20 min before the storm chased us off. Enjoying spending time with my family and sore lippin slabs with my dad and brother.![]()

What's a TARP?
Proud member of Team Geezer!
The grass withers and the flower fades, but the word of our God shall stand forever.
Tennessee Angler Recognition Program ... where you can receive a certificate for catching a certain species, of a certain length (like a 14" Crappie).
When they say they caught a "TARP" ... they mean they caught a fish that would qualify for the award, whether they intend to or actually do send in the required application form & picture, or not.
