    Default Texas to Tennessee

Social media has a way of old high school friends finding each other after 37 years! What's the best way for a reunion, plan a fishing trip, esp if you are coming to see me!
With the help from captain Richard Simms at scenic city fishing tours, I started my best friend from Texas vacation catching 5 different varieties of fish below the chickamauga dam. What a trooper, after a flight delay an a late night arrival, we where on the water at 0615 the next am, in the pouring rain! I warned her before she booked a flight I'd make a river rat out of her...she never stopped smiling even in the rain, once she reeled n a couple of fish! Special thanks to Richard Simms, what a perfect way to entertain an out of town guest with a guided fishing trip!

Next was my time to shine, crappie fishing, following a guide trip, I felt the pressure but was up to the challenge....dock shooting of course, seeing that's my specialty....i had to keep with my "can-do"determination Name: IMG_0593.jpg

Size: 71.6 KBI was able to locate some keepers an the fun began trying to teach her how to dock shoot...let's just say, detecting a summer deep dock crappie bite can be challenging even for an experienced angler, however Lisa was a quick learner an able to get a few to the boat! One lesson we learned together was the net was our best friend!Name: IMG_0624.jpg

I am so proud of you, because you not only are my best crappie student, but you are actually teaching others how to catch fish as well. That is always my main goal. Teach to teach. If people are only interested in finding spots to fish, then I'm not interested in taking them fishing. knowwhatImeanVern? Grin.

Way to go. Always good to fish with good friends . Catching something in the process is a bonus.
