I love tying my own crappie flies, so I went to Fort Loudoun this afternoon to try out some I had made. I caught plenty of fish in the 3-4 feet range around brush in the creeks. The water in the creeks was dingy, and it was much warmer than the river channel. The river channel was 48 degrees, and the water in the creeks was 53-54 degrees. They killed my flies all afternoon. I kept enough for a good mess for my daughter and I for supper. She calls them "croppie fish sticks." And for some reason, it put my picture in upside down. But you get the idea.
