    Default First Post.. Fort Loudoun

Hi. Just moved from walleye country! Fished Fort Loudoun today (12-18-16), from 1:00 PM to 4:15 PM. 1:10 arrived to my first spot, flipped a couple of times, nothing. (have had rough year) Came across a brush pile, changed my tactic to dead stickin' it! The first 5 minutes, I had 6 bites and 1 crappie. (Thought this going to be great) Fished about 10 more minutes, and caught a short crappie. Fished for 3 more hour and nothing!
4:00 PM picked up and started flipping again. 2nd cast, let it fall for 7 seconds. Starting reeling, and bam a short crappie was on. Flipped a couple of times and picked up! ( bilge does not work)

Fish were in brush in 23 FOW. Any where from 4-8 feet down.

Fished 1/16oz jig head. Fished CRAPPIE MAXX Chartreuse, Pumpkin Chart TL, and Electric Grape

    Fish Philippians 4:13

Welcome aboard! I fish Loudoun quite often. We have been finding more short fish than usual lately. Not sure why. Check out the East TN Crappie Club (link on this forum and Facebook). Great bunch of guys and gals, and you WILL learn!

Good report. Never got to Ft Loudon when I lived there but it sure looked good when I passed by. Good day fishing and welcome from Central Florida.
