It has been a while since my boat has saw any water. Any fishing I have done in this heat has been in my kayak, and I don't take that terribly serious. However, a recent float on the Caney Fork in Middle TN did provide some fun trout action! 55 degree water on a 90+ degree day will make you happy! Swinging about 20 nice trout over the side of the 'yak is a sweet bonus! Anyway, my wife and I decided enough time had passed, so we pulled the boat to a close to home area for a couple hours of crappie fishing. Because of limited time, 89 degree surface temp, we limited ourself to one deep water dock that I fish occasionally. Not hot (the fishing, the weather was!), but we were able to catch a few. The water around the dock is 20-30 feet deep, and the bites came about 3 cranks off the bottom. Yes, I did shoot it from several angles, but still and deep was the only way. No minnows were used, but I honestly think that would probably help. One picture of what we kept for a meal.Name: image.jpg
